Last week I had the opportunity to collaborate with some of Ottawa’s creative community in an “so long summer” themed photoshoot, and I’m so excited to be sharing the images today!
I met Emily, of What Emily Said, through our local chapter of the Rising Tide Society and when I heard that she wanted to do a styled beach shoot and needed a photographer I knew I wanted to be involved! She did a fantastic job of organizing, getting everyone together, and even being one of our lovely models. Thanks again Emily!
It’s always great to see a community of creatives come together and give of their time, talents, and products. I love being in a city that values that and am so grateful that I could play a part in it :)

Now onto the photos…
They set up this adorable DIY bouquet bar with locally grown flowers by Frolic Flowers and a hand painted sign by Simply Steph Ko. Such a great idea! Everyone got to make their own bouquet, and who doesn’t love to take some gorgeous fresh flowers home with them at the end of the day?
Summer may be coming to a close now, but spending one last evening at the beach with these ladies was the perfect way to say goodbye to the season.
Photoshoots that have this much genuine smiling and laughter are definitely my favorite kind. And when they are complimented with gorgeous styling and clothing like these dresses from local Ottawa boutique Viens Avec Moi it makes my job even easier!
I’m so grateful to love what I do + get to do a job that feeds my creative side.
