And just like that August comes to a close and a new year begins. Okay, so technically September isn’t a new year but doesn’t it feel like is?
The seasons changing from hot, sticky, ice cream melting, sundress wearing, picnics in the park and beach filled days to cozy sweaters, oversized scarves, lattes in hand on a blustery day, fat orange pumpkins everywhere, and a general feeling of fall excitement creeping in. I love it.
Don’t get me wrong I’m still a huge summer supporter, but I’m more of an “any season, but winter” kind of person so I’m going to embrace all the glorious and lovely things about autumn for as long as I can.
Last year I made a fall bucket list, but since I’ve got my 30 before 30 thing going on this year I thought that would be enough to do. There are a few things on that list that are perfect fall activities… like making a quilt. Something that I keep moving from list to list because as much as I want to do it I’m really intimated by it and keep running into problems before I even start. So we will see how that goes.
Speaking of my 30 Before 30 list – I still have 5 empty slots to fill with things. Any suggestions? Let me know in the comments below if you think there is something I should really learn/do/make/eat/read/etc before I turn 30! I’d love to hear your ideas!
Happy fall everyone. Enjoy those lattes and scarves :)
