Three Cheesecake Toppings

Salted Caramel Skor Cheesecake //

A few weeks ago I posted this recipe for New York style cheesecake and I promised the recipes for the toppings I made for it. So here they are!

Okay here we go! I started with a salted caramel sauce topped with Skor bits. Mmmm

I used this recipe from Love Bakes Good Cakes. It was pretty straight forward and tasted delicious. The only downside is that it hardened fairly quickly – as in as soon as it wasn’t hot it would start to turn to taffy more than liquid. Maybe I boiled it too long? All it took was a quick reheat and it was good to go again.

Next up was a classic cherry sauce. I used this one from Wonky Wonderful and it turned out great! I halved the recipe and used frozen cherries instead which worked well. It just took a bit longer to boil.

And lastly, my favorite of the three: peanut butter sauce from Crazy for Crust. It’s actually an ice cream topping, but why limit such a good thing to just ice cream? I tried to show self restraint for the photos, but the piece I actually ate might have been overflowing with it. Oops
