Happy Saturday! And to make it even better I’ve got this bonus post this weekend! And to make it even better it’s a maple syrup covered post!
Last year some of Matt’s family started a sugar shack at their home in the country (remember the syrup in this post? That’s where we got it!), and over the summer they expanded and built a sugar shack to produce a whole lot more syrup.
This spring it’s been in full swing and they’ve been working hard making bottle after bottle of the sweet, delicious, golden liquid so Matt and I stopped in last week to get some photos and video of it all.
For all you non-eastern Canadians out there like me:

It’s funny how maple syrup such a stereotypical Canadian thing, but since this country is so big and it only really gets made out east I had never even tried the real stuff until I was an adult.
Although, it’s probably a good thing it took me so long to try it because once I did I decided the best was to consume it was to drink it straight from the bottle. Not even joking ;)
