Canadian winter + the best in-laws ever = the epic Cuba family vacation of 2016!
We spent a week in Cayo Coco, which is a little island off the northern side of Cuba. The ocean there was multiple shades of turquoise when you were looking at it from the white sand beach, and it was crystal clear when you were standing in it or gliding over on a catamaran.
The days had just the right amount of sunniness mixed with cool island breezes that made the hardest decision of the day: beach or pool? My kind of vacation!
We stayed at the Memories Flamenco and the beach off the resort was absolutely beautiful – all the photos in the post are from walking along it! It sat around the middle of the entire beach so on two mornings Matt and I went adventuring to the east and west points.
I may have bought this hat before our trip because a) Matt told me I should be responsible and wear one, and b) photos. Mostly option B ;)
To be fair I did warn him it was going to come with a lot of Instagram husband-ing
More photos to come of our day trip excursion! And then I’ll try and go back to DIY’s and other wintery activities to share on here. Or maybe I’ll just start making piña coladas and pretending it’s not -30 outside. We shall see….
