Okay, so I totally lied. I know I said that the garland round-up would be the last one for Christmas, but then I just kept seeing super cute, and self-proclaimed easy to do, looks for holiday parties.
PS: that photo up there was taken by our insanely talented wedding photographer, Heart + Sparrow Photography. It’s my bff and I getting ready and I loooove it. I thought it was fitting for this “getting prettied up” post.
Makeup / I usually find it hard to find good makeup tutorials for people like me with fair skin and blonde hair. Most of the time smoky eyes and evening looks that use more a lot makeup then normal look so heavy on my face. Ugh. But I found some that are heavier then everyday makeup, but use lighter tones that don’t make me look like this.

how to get the perfect red lip //My Makeup Ideas
I’ve always been jealous of perfect red lips that just look so classy. I never thought I could pull off red, but if Taylor Swift can do it why can’t I? ;)
Hair / My hair texture has changed a lot throughout my life from poker straight, to super thick and curly, to now where it’s naturally loose waves and very fine. Weird, I know. But that makes me skip over most hair tutorials because they require a lot more hair then I have. However, I found some that look like I could actually do them without making my hair look thin and wispy. Yay!

Although this technically isn’t a holiday look I thought it would look great this time of year! She has a list of sources for each item she’s wearing on her blog.

Have you noticed I have this thing with black? I can’t help it. I’ve tried to go for colors, but I always find my way back to black so by now I’ve just embraced it. Here are some of my top party dress picks from Zara this season.
