Matt and I had a work trip last week that took us to Orlando (aka DISNEY WORLD) so we thought we’d go down a day early to have a 24 hour vacation. We’re so extravagant ;)
Since we only had one day before our job started we didn’t go to any of the parks, but we did stay at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn which is one of 4 hotels that surround Crescent Lake and is walking distance to Epcot. The hotel has an old-school Atlantic City feel to it and the boardwalk is much the same. It’s so magical! There’s 20’s music playing, white twinkle lights everywhere, and a bunch of shops and restaurants. They even do movies under the stars every night! Ugh, when can I move there?
Our morning started off at BoardWalk Bakery with a cinnamon bun the size of my face, and yes I ate it all… no regrets. Then we spent the day walking the paths around the lake, past the beaches, palm trees, and Epcot. And of course I had to get a milkshake from The Fountain, because they’re basically the best ever.
To end the day we went to Luna Park Pool which has 200′ waterslide and a snack bar that is on the inside of a merry-go-round. Enough said, amirite? We finished off the day with a delicious, and way too huge, dinner at ESPN Club (go sports and stuff).
