Weekend collection //

I’ve gathered a few things to share today that have brightened my day over the summer. Sometimes you just need to sit back and let the simple things make you happy, you know? Happy weekend all!

Now Designs bowl //

I found this bowl the other day and immediately knew it needed to come home with me! It reminds me of those bowls that Anthropologie has that I’ve always loved, but this one is by Now Designs. It’s not often I buy things without knowing exactly what I’m going to do with them, but it was just so sunny and only $5. So for now it sits on my counter making me happy. That’s enough purpose for me :)

Cappuccino //

Matt got a legit espresso machine this summer and has been learning to perfect his espresso shots. Which means lots of taste testing lattes and cappuccinos for me. Yum! I’ve also started making my own flavoured syrups to make copycat Starbucks drinks, so keep an eye out for those recipes coming to the blog this fall.

Fresh garden tomatoes //

I’ve mentioned our wonderful landlady and her amazing garden before, and once again this summer she has provided us with an endless supply of fresh lettuce and tomatoes. Looking over our second floor deck into the backyard I can see the plums are starting to turn color now too….

Pretty drinks packaging //

Please tell me I’m not the only one who buys things solely based on packaging design? We were heading up to the lake a few weeks ago and stopped on the way to get some drinks. But I’m not a huge beer lover (ok, I don’t like it at all), but sweet, fruit filled, bubbly ciders on the other hand.. that I can do! And how could I resist these 3 with their pretty exteriors? As for taste, the Strawberry-Lime was my favorite.

Tilly Doro Pineapple studs //

Pineapple earrings – need I say more? I got these adorable little studs by Tilly Doro at Workshop Boutique and I love them.

Pastel espresso cups //

These espresso cups were given to Matt’s grandparents as a wedding gift in 1960 – aren’t they gorgeous! It’s a set of 6 in all different pastel colors so now I just have to find the perfect spot to display them all.
