Last month Matt and I made a trip out to the east coast to visit my in-laws and watch my brilliant sister-in-law graduate from medical school (woo!). Since I’ve been trying to get back into the habit of taking more photos of daily things instead of just work I brought my camera and documented our adventure.
Day 1 + 2 / We drove from Ottawa to Charlottetown in one go which takes about 13 hours. The next day we spent the afternoon wandering around the harbour and shops downtown, grabbed some delicious coffee from Receiver Coffee Co., and went for a quick walk at one of my favourite island beaches. We ended the day with dinner at Matt’s parent’s place enjoying a beautiful evening in the country. Oh, and of course after dinner we had to go find one of the island’s dairy bars for an ice cream fix.
Day 3 / We packed up again and continued east until we reached Halifax where we met up with the whole fam-jam. Before dinner we went to the lovely wine bar Obladee where I didn’t bring my camera, but totally wished I did. But if you’re ever in Halifax you should definitely check it out. We went for dinner at 2 Doors Down where I definitely ate way too much, but it was so worth it.
