Happy Saturday! Which means another smoothie recipe coming your way. In February I posted this delicious blood orange lemonade recipe, and I had some oranges leftover so I decided to make a smoothie out of them. I found this recipe on Edible Perspective and and liked her simple, aka easy, approach so I gave it a try. I did change it slightly so here’s what I did:
3 peeled blood oranges
1 peeled frozen banana
1/4 plain yogurt
1/4 blood orange lemonade, only because I had some leftover. Regular orange juice would probably be tasty too.
4-5 ice cubes (I found the frozen banana didn’t make it cold enough for me so I tossed in some ice to help it out)
Add all ingredients together and blend until smooth. There was a lot of pulp so I strained it before pouring it into glasses. Makes 1 large or 2 small glasses.
