Since I was a kid pink lemonade was always one of my favourite summertime drinks, so I thought I should finally learn how to make some that doesn’t come from frozen concentrate ;)
Turns out it’s really easy! And much more delicious then that frozen stuff – who knew.
Here’s the recipe:
– 1 cup white sugar
– 1 cup water
– 2 1/2 cups fresh lemon juice (about 6 lemons)
– 2 cups cranberry juice
– 6 cups water
– ice and lemon slices for garnish
Combine the sugar and 1 cup of water in a saucepan on the stove, and bring to a boil. Boil for around 4 minutes until all the sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and let it cool.
While that’s cooling make your lemon juice and strain it a few times to get the pulp out. Unless pulp is your thing then you can leave it all in there.
Grab a large pitcher and combine all the ingredients and stir well.
Pour over ice to serve and add a lemon slice or wedge to look extra fancy. Drink up!
