Year of Getting Stuff Done – March Update

Somehow another month has come and gone, but spring is finally in the air and the snow is melting away. YAY! You could say I’m more then a little excited about that. Anyway, here is how my March went…..

What worked:

Drinking water everyday – I have to say I’m pretty shocked that I’m still successful at this one. I’m pretty sure it’s because I have it on my to-do list everyday, but I’ll take it.

More reading, less internet-ing – I can’t say I reading out weighed wasted time on the internet/social media this month, but I am still working my way through last months book (Grace: A Memoir by Vogue’s creative director Grace Coddington). And I have 2 more new books waiting for me to read too thanks to my cousin-in-law :)

Make a year-in-our-life photo book – March was a super slow month for me in basically every aspect. Which means there wasn’t really anything to take photos of. However, half way through the month I pulled out my old film camera that I hadn’t touched since photo school and I’ve been shooting randomly on that. So I think that counts as March’s photo personal project.

Meal planning – Post on this coming soon. I’m still doing it, but in a hugely modified way. So far so good. PS I made a roast chicken for the first time ever and it turned out great! This might not be a big deal for some of you out there, but this is coming from a girl who would rather eat rice forever then cook anything with any actual effort.

Get Moving – Guys. I started exercising. For real. I only started half way though March, but I’m filing this under the success column for the fact that I’ve consistently kept up with it for 2 weeks now. Which is a big deal in my I-hate-working-out life! I went on trusty old Youtube to find some “yoga for beginners” type of thing and found Jillian Michael’s yoga meltdown – which people say is more yoga-inspired then actual yoga, but it makes me sweat and isn’t completely terrible so it’s good enough for me. Wish me luck for April!

What didn’t:

Nothing, I’m perfect!

Just kidding, I totally failed on a lot of things this month. I didn’t drink all the water I should’ve every single day, I didn’t read every day, I didn’t start working out until half way through the month, and I didn’t get as much work done on my business as I wanted. HOWEVER (yes, capitals are necessary here) I did better than January and February, and I feel like I’m making progress on some things so I’m choosing to look at the positives here.

Bring it on April.
