DIY Pin-pricked Card // www.thelovelythings.com

Happy Sunday! I hope that your sitting in the sun somewhere cozy, browsing through your favourite blogs, feeling inspired and happy today :)

Today is the second post in my Happy Mail weekend series (check out the first post here), and I have this fancy card DIY to share! I saw it on The Etsy Blog and thought I’d give it a try. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out!

What you need:
– card stock
– pushpin
– piece of corrugated cardboard
– tape
TemplateΒ or pencil to draw out your own design

What you do:

Print the template or make your own. Remember that if you’re making your own you need to write the letter backwards so that they are the right way on the front.

Cut the card stockΒ toΒ the size you want and fold in half. Lay it on the cardboard inside up and tape the template over top.

Get your pushpin and start pinning! I’ve decided that’s the verb for this project :P I chose to just do the outside of the letters and not fill it in like the Etsy tutorial shows, but you can do it however you’d like.

If you’re a perfectionist make sure you push the pin through evenly or you’ll get some holes bigger then others like you can see on my card. I’m not that picky, so it doesn’t bother me. Oops.

That’s it! Let your imagination flow! My imagination only flowed to this diamond before my fingers got sore from all the pinning, but hopefully in the future I’ll come up with something cooler :)
