When I was starting to plan the decorations for our anniversary dinner I was looking for projects that I could easily make with things I already had, and without having to spend any (or much) extra. It didn’t take long for me to find this DIY tassel garland on Linen, Lace, & Love. and I knew I had to try it myself.
It was super easy to make, pretty fast once you get going, and looked great in the end! I highly recommend making one for your next party!
I started out trying to use my paper cutter to make the tassels, but it kept getting stuck and tearing so I ended up cutting them all by hand. It ended up working well once I figured out a good rhythm for it: start by cutting the paper on a flat surface. When you’re about half way done hold it up tightly, flip the already cut strips to the back, and continue cutting the strips flipping them back out of your way as you go.
